Three months ago two words completely and irrevocably changed my world, those words are "I'm pregnant". In that moment it hit me, I am going to be a father. As you may remember I have written about the power of the words I AM. I dare say the words I am pregnant are just as powerful, for in those words comes the rewriting of two peoples entire reality. In seconds the world seems very real and all your priorities completely change. Though this is an extremely frightening prospect, it is also an amazing and exciting one.
Today it really hit hard. With a visit to Fetal Photo, I got to see my son move, yawn, and kick his legs, yes I said son. I am going to have a son. Knowing Joni and I are going to have a son and seeing his little body move around in Joni's stomach reinforces my commitment to be the best husband and father possible.
This will be an amazing adventure, and an exercise in PARTY ON. I can only hope I will do as well with my son as my father did with his.
